Posting pictures and videos

I don't intend to create a monster here but I am amazed to see all the pictures and videos that are posted on the site and for the most part these are well done. The ability to put up a pic of a rod or reel eludes me because I don't do it frequently enough I guess.

Some step by step pointers posted here would be most helpful for me!

Cheers,

Bill Guditus

Use this button: to post an image from your computer.

Use this button: to post an image from photobucket or another image hosting site.

Admin,

In the past when posting pics you would click the 'manage attachments' button which would bring up the pics already downloaded, upload, type a reply, make a post. Now nothing happens when clicking the 'manage attachment' button.

I'm not sure how to use the icons referred to in the previous post. Help...

Thanks

Hello,

What browser are you using? I tested this on Chrome and it seems to be working fine.

Attachments is working fine on IE too. I have attached a picture of where you will need to click to open up the attachments page.

Do those options work for you?

No, have clicked the attachments icon and 'manage attachments' button with no change. Will not bring up downloaded pics.
Tried a different computer, same results.

Sorry for my confusion. There is no option to chose from your older uploaded pictures. You will need to find the images in your computer files in order to upload them.

The simplest way to upload hight a quality photo of various resolution is to paste link to a given photo form image hosting site.

Posting pictures – step by step (short version)

1. Take pictures with digital camera or camera phone
2. Download pictures from the camera or phone to your PC/laptop and save in a specific folder
3. Use a picture management tool on your PC (I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro) to re-size the pictures to 800 x 600 pixels (or 1000 x 750) and save each picture with a new name to distinguish these reduced images from the originals
4. Upload your pictures to a photobucket, vimeo or other internet picture/data account
5. Once uploaded to your web account, select which pictures you want to upload to Speypages from that internet picture/data account
6. For each picture clicked on & shown there will be a box which shows the “URL” for that image/picture on the web account.
7. Click on and copy the URL and paste that URL onto your Speypages post
8. Repeat step 7 until all your pictures you want are on the Speypages post
9. Before you click ‘post new thread’ or ‘post reply’ on Speypages, & to check that the pictures will show up correctly on your post, click ‘preview’
10. Add text above or below pictures as desired
11. When happy, click ‘post new thread’ or ‘post reply’

Hope that helps.

Problem solved.

I had increased the pop-up blocker setting on the computers.
This change would not allow the indicated icon or attachment button to function.
