Login Nightmares

WOW... What a battle. Ever since the change around Months ago I have had endless trouble logging in. The Tech support has re-activated my account several times, I have changed passwords more than once to try and get some sort of response. Finally the Tech crew just seemed to put the whole deal in the too hard basket and stopped answering my emails. Round about then I just said "the hell with it" and just watched from afar. Last week I decided to try once more as there is some unfinished business to deal with.
As some of you may be aware, we lost a good mate in April. Bevin Baker was a regular participant on this forum and his family have recently begun the process of settling his estate, a painful process which I have been trying to help with.
Unless this site gives me the boot again, we will be putting some very good equipment onto the classified section.
Please MR. MOD.... DONT let the techo's drop the ball again... Please
Regards...JIMMY

I wondered where you had been ... ??
Are you settled in again ??
Did you delete your previously saved/bookmarked links to Speypages and find a new link through a search engine to re-establish ?? I had the same problem

Mike

Have you Swung a Spey Fly today ??

Gidday Mike, This just keeps getting stranger! I put that post up last night (my time) and now when I just called up the SP I find I am already logged in without anything being done by me. I am guessing there is a 24 Hr timer running somewhere in the system to force a logout. Which raises the question...Am I supposed to actually logout at the end of each session? It has never occurred to me to do so, but then I AM a well known techno-idiot so perhaps that is not so surprising. Just to demonstrate that I am willing to reveal that I wouldn't recognise a Saved/bookmarked link even if I tripped on it and fell flat on my face.
All I have ever done is hit the big G and then type in SPEY PAGES, then my user name and password. It worked fine for over a year then the flippin thing gave me the boot! All good now so lets just hope for the best. It is nice to be back and its bloody nice to be heading into summer. Daylight savings kicked in yesterday, so its down to the bottom of the hill in the evenings.
Cheers Mate.... Jimmy

This is GOOD! I have been able to login twice. That's the first time for ages. See what I mean about Techno-idiot? The LOGout is clear as anything once you take the time to have a look around. Fair dinkum....DUMB AS A ROCK.
In an effort to regain control over my lifestyle and particularly the mountains of data rattling around in this ugly head, I purchased a laptop a couple weeks ago. I actually spent some money on something other than fishing gear or travel expenses. My wife is still in shock. She doesn't yet understand that it is already full of fishing gear and travel details....
Umm.. do I need to send any bribes to the LOGIN Goblins? I promise to logout every time. Really, seriously
Cheers again...Jimmy
