malware?

Sometimes, when I log on SP, I get a message that Norton just blocked an attack by "angler exploit kit #6".

Also lately, been getting "server too busy" messages a couple times a day.

Hello,

If possible, can you please provide us with a screenshot of the malware warning you receive from Norton? Also, what browser are you seeing this on and is it caused by a specific forum page?

As for the server busy message, around what time of the day do you see it and what sort of action are you taking when it appears i.e. posting, browsing etc?

Thank you for the help!

~Kay

I got the same "angler exploit kit #6" attack blocked by Norton a few times in the past week or so. It happens as soon as you're on. No particular forum.

Using Internet Explorer for browsing.

If the warning pops again I'll try to capture it. I've seen it a few time in the last couple weeks. It comes up when I click into the forum home.

The server busy message has occurred when simply going from one thread to the next. Bizarre. Browser is IE, what? 10 probably.

Everything seems to be fine on my end with IE. can you please take a screenshot of it the next time it occurs?

Thank you!

This has come up several times for me on Firefox. I don't remember the specific times but will take note on the next one.

Depending on when this occurs, it could be the forum maintenance running around that time. A general time frame or a specific time would help us track it down.

Thank you!

Hi,
it is a "ads.verticalscope..." something, that comes up (found by Kaspersky on Safari).

I took a look into it and it seems like the site was being hit with DDOS. The forum has since been moved to another sever so that should fix the issue.

The malware associated with ads.verticalscope should be cleaned out now. Are you still seeing the malware warning?
