New video by Ryan Peterson highlighting the transboundary region and the massive push for mining development in some of the last great watersheds on earth HERE
"...The size and location of the mines--at the headwaters of major salmon rivers that flow across the border into Alaska--has Alaskans concerned over risks posed to their $2b fishing and tourism industries and unique way of life."
kinda worries me that nobody has even responded here (myself included). Although its been quite a while since ive been to SE i spent a great deal of my summers for most of my childhood/teenage years fishing in my grandparents back yard (auke bay) and the idea of that beautiful area being ruined is sickening. This is a place to fight for and if things keep going in the same direction i sure hope we have the same uproar that we did about pebble. thanks for sharing this and please keep me posted if there is anything I can do.
