I actually sent it to my neighbor (and surrogate mom) hoping it might help explain this weird kind of fishing I tell her I do that has left her baffled for years, where you will most of the time spend the whole day without a fish, and then when you do get one you let it go immediately.
It might be another thread, but it would be very cool to hear about other people's long term quests - I'm still working on catching any salmonid in California in each month of a given year. Each year I always have a distraction. I had this one idea for a quest that would probably end up as %85 adventure race, and that was to catch a Shad in every local river that has them over the course of a weekend - so in the Sacramento, American, Feather, Yuba, and Russian. Originally I was thinking 24 hours, but that might end up as hazardous to your health.
