Terrace Chrome

It's January, and while a scorching 49 today all the rivers are frozen out but one. I really love winter as the water is so quiet. No birds singing, no leaves clapping, and if the wind is absent there is a pronounced silence and just the hum of the water moving by.

It's hard to capture that on video unless you go somewhere to do it. So when I watch videos like this, it captures just a fraction of that sense of being there. Nice production

Really, from the settings, to the flies, to the gear...to the fish...do we not all share the most visually appealing hobby?

Just a fluke unfortunately. I'm torn, I hope we have plenty of precipitation this spring and summer but when it's below 30 it's no good for anything except the ski mountains. Next week is all 40s during the days. Maybe the shelf ice will melt off and the water will bump up in tempt just a few degrees for them to give some chase
