I could produce and epic video about all the times I've been skunked on the Deschutes including coverage of being skunked on the John Day and the NU, But I agree, feel very lucky to live here.

Fun little video. That grab and the sound of that Hardy made me wish for summer. Too bad it was a hatchery fish and didn't put on a very good show, one little run and done. Wild ones leave you breathess and with sore arms and burnt fingers.

That was a great grab, love seeing that on video.

One run and done? I see a lot more than that. They don't all take good runs over and over. That little fish held out for almost six minutes, I have caught many wild fish that did less.

Of course, having a reel with no drag certainly helps extend the fight even though it sounds great.
