Scandi Play Video...

Just a few minutes of messing around... Some casts are better than others. Hope you enjoy

What stick and line have you used in this video. You are
hitting it pretty strongly and it hardly flexes!!

I am throwing a 12 1/2' foot 7wt One, 450gr Airflo scandi, with a beat poly (12-13') and a tiny yarnie with w about 6 ft of 0x. I am also about 1' above waterline dry, so nothing is (really) sticking. This is a better "fishing" weight line, wading and steel change it all. It is park casting.

It looks like you're using a lot of top hand, I may be wrong. I found it much more efficient and less tiring never to push with my top hand and let my lower hand do all the work. I usually have one or two fingers on the upper cork.

Looked like a nice day!

Nice casting there. I enjoyed the video. Glad you posted it.

Nice, always enjoy seeing others cast. One of the things I find hard to do when practicing esp. on still water is slowing down and being deliberate on the lift and initial pull for singles and snakes. Really establishes control over the whole cast because you're starting from zero with room to accelerate. If you start fast out of the chute there's no room to do this.

For me, the glass is neither half-empty nor half-full, but rather twice as big as it needs to be.

Spend a lot of time goofing off at the park, and I would agree with top hand comments- I wasn't really hitting it right and (initially) the point of filming it was to "figure it out". Just kinda worked out and threw it out there.

Early, I am dropping the rod way low early on the backstop and a ton of top hand, I am finally getting a little "warmed up" after the lefty stuff, and still lots of room to improve. Spent another 1 1/2 hours working that day Thanks for watching, I will not claim its anywhere near perfect...
