GoPro Hero 3 DH Casting 120FPS

I just recently came across a steal of a deal on craigslist and purchased a Go Pro Hero 3 Black Edition. Given that the camera shoots 120fps at 720p I wanted to go test it out. So, I figured how better to test the 120fps then hitting the river with my DH Beulah 7132. My casting isnt perfect by any means but figured this would be a cool little way to mess around with the camera.

Uh...

...Your casting is pretty damn good! The other side of the river might wanna duck. I throw skagits to try to do what you're doing with 50' of line drowning under water, Impressive. What is that noodle your tossing with all the action?

It's a Beulah 7132-4 with an airflo skagit 510, 12' of t-11 and partially weighted fly I call "overdose."

Odd. Tried the link three times and at 10 seconds get an error message and the film just 'goes away.' Anyone else experienced this?

Nice. Good music too. Who is that?

Skagit like scandi

As Longrod wrote, you really are throwing that thing like its a scandi setup. I'd be stripping in way more line before I attempted those casts but that may just be my inexperience. Your lift doesn't look all that exaggerated and you look to have a lot more than just the tip underwater so you're really creating a lot of tension to load that rod. Definitely not blowing your anchor. It's very cool to see all that with the GoPro. I think that camera is going to serve you well. Thanks for posting, can't wait to see some fish vids this winter.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I am really loving the camera, its amazing how something so little can do so much. To answer SkagitMeister the artist is Chuck Ragan and the title of the song is "Right As Rain."

Thanks again guys

Friggin sweet. I could see this being on a commercial with the slo-mo effects...really cool to see the line placement, rod load and then the line firing!

Yeah, I think the whole slow-mo thing throws people off. It almost looks like touch and go.
