I would cast like that all of the time, I just dont like all that stripping.

... the pseudo-science of running-lines and matching heads has now devolved into such a miasma of obfuscation that it is a wonder that people are even not more confused....Erik Helm

Thats some good casting right there, small angle change for him but he should come to Speyorama.

Now for a clip of the `Big Dawg` Gerard Downey throwing down 231ft 8.7inches

Enjoy!

Hah! No cheating just different. Believe me there is a reason he is 'big dawg' off the platform or in the water.

Here is the cheese

Nice job Gerard,Travis and Andrew.

A comment about this cast-This is the most mechanically perfect cast I've seen on video.

As a caster Gerard is amazing in his efficient use of force and solid casting mechanics and I've tried to base a lot of my casting off of his for the last couple of years.

SOR & CLA wins for Gerard this year!

Quoted from longbellycaster blog

As a note-both of the Americans who I know did well at CLA were wrestlers.

You have the wrong impression mr green. I was merely adding to the fine casting already posted.

So, here is a question, I've been watching the technique of yous longbelly/distance guys. I've noticed that when you place your anchor, a surprising amount of anchor lands behind the caster. I would have expected that would rob the delivery stroke of power/energy.
