Underhand experiments on the Clark Fork
I made this video
on the Clark Fork river experimenting with a 20' mono leader at the spur of the moment and analyzing my casting overall. The results of swinging a small wet fly on the end of a 20' leader produced some very impressive crows nests and wind knots.
it was a productive afternoon of practice which ended with me actually making some very relaxed casts that I was mostly unable to film but it will give me something to shoot for in future casting sessions.
... the pseudo-science of running-lines and matching heads has now devolved into such a miasma of obfuscation that it is a wonder that people are even not more confused....Erik Helm
