Rod and Reel match.

Hi~ Fellas!

I am thinking to get a new outfit.
The rod, loop yellowline 9-10 13.2ft, is on its way.
However, I couldn't decide the reel yet!!

There are two reels in my mind now.
Hardy Cascapedia MK II 8/9, and Loop Evotec HD3 8/10.

I need a good suggestion from you fellas, and appriciate in advance!!!

All the best,

Bravo~

those are two very very different reels. how did you come across deciding between those two?

click/pawl reel...or drag reel...

you really can't go with either or, both great products... but you gotta decide if you want the reel to have drag or if you want Click/pawl instead.

I use Loop Evotec HD 7/9 9/11 and 11/13. I believe these are discontinued now and hard to get hold of.
Wonderfull reels, fantastic drag. I also have a megaloop I use on my 14' stinger but even being so large its very light in weight.
Danielson I believe produce a newer Evotec but I was told they are lighter than the older loop models.
If I look for another reel it would be a good condition Loop evotec HD, on ebay..
Cant comment on the Cascapedia never used one.

Thanks for the reply!!!

My biggest concern is the balance between Cascapedia and Evotec.
Many people recommend Evotec. However, Cascapedia never leaves my head.

Any fellas familiar with Cascapedia??

Bravo~

Loop Multi 9/12 matches the rod perfectly in terms of weight and it's great value. If you have the black reel seat it will be color matching...
