SA System 11
I just came into possesion of a Scientific Anglers SYSTEM 11 reel. It is made by Hardy and is a dead ringer for a Marquis. I know that Hardy made some Marquis for SA but my question is which one does this match up to? It looks like possibly a Salmon #1 but I'm not sure. Anyone know the answer?

I could be mistaken , but I think the SA System 11 is the equivalent of the Marquis 9-10-11 .

Thanks guys. I will have to get with a friend who has the 9-10-11 and compare. I think he uses it for some lighter spey work so this one might yet have an use.

I have a SA system 11 with extra spools. I have used it for spey fishing with an old model SA 6/7 xlt and a 7/8/9 WC, it holds either without shortening, plus 150 yds of 20 lb. micron. It balances my Loomis 15' 7/8 Greased Line rod perfectly, and sounds great with a fish on.
