Just watching this whilst I have a cup of tea in the middle of packing my kit; 7 hours from now the alarm will be going off & and an hour after that my friend Paul will be loading his kit in my car befor a 570 mile drive up North to fish the Dee. We have a party of 6 this year with rods on all 3 of the royal beats: Balmoral, Abergeldie & Birkhall & I'm "twitchy" as hell - which is why I'm not rushing to pack because [despite having been heading up north several times a year to fish the Dee {& the Spey & the Tweed + others} for 23 years now, the night before we go I'm still like a kid waiting for Christmas day.... sleep won't come easy!].
I don't know why I should be surprised at my heightened anticipation, after all if I ever get blase' [how do you type an accent?] about this then thats the time I should sell my tackle & take up golf or something similarly desparate.
What brought it home was knowing some of the "characters" in the video, for instance Ian Murray [wearing the deer stalker in the Dee section]; & thinking "I'll be fishing with Ian the first week of July" & wow is that lovely fly water; I think the almighty may have been a fisherman & during the 7 days he tried really hard on that part of the river - guess what? He succeeded!
I need that lottery win, then I can just move up there & avoid all this driving, after all the reduced carbon dioxide emissions may save a polar bear or two, perhaps I could qualify for a grant or sell the off-set to an oil company? I must look into that........

Still hoping, Tyke.

I could listen to that music and Ian's Scottish brogue all day long. Looks like an absolute cracker of a film!
