Heya Todd, I believe you asked me to reach out and say hello on the forums during our fishing day, so hi! I had a blast, thanks again for a great time.

Hi Todd, want to say I really enjoy your blog and am glad you got a job with lower stress levels. You probably don't remember me but about five years ago I was going to meet with you in Springfield to fish one of your small winter streams. I blew my back out rowing on the Sandy the day before and had to bail, to my immense regret. You generously mailed me some flies, Winters Hope on big iron, egg-sucking leech and a couple of your lovely Little Wangs. I see you sell some flies and I would love to take some LW's to the Bulkley this fall. I'm really stoked about this trip, going with a guy who's been going there for 40 years, we're going last week in September through first week in October and hopefully it'll be prime skating time.
If this is something you would do, please contact me; no problem if you can't. Meantime, keep up the nice writing.

    Hi,
I really enjoy your Blog and have a question for you. I want to try skating a ska opper this weekend in skykomish and was wondering what line setup you recommend. I have a opst commando with a floating line and possibly Maxima 12 pound line.

    any suggestions?

Hi Todd the Altoid cased Wangs arrived in great shape. Can't wait to use them.

Todd- I missed out on your last set of wangs.

If you get rained in again one of these weekends and get another batch brewed up I'll take them off your hands.

    Thanks!

I'm heading back down this weekend, the worst possible time with the hot weather! But, I go when the window opens. Yes, heard the crowds are atrocious. Hopefully as fishing opportunies pick up on the Deschutes, the crowd will thin.

Your experience sounds similar most folks I spoke with the last couple weeks. I have a friend who's there today, or maybe it's next Sunday, and I'm curious to see how he does. He rose two to wakers the last weekend in June and a friend of his landed one then too. Lots of people on the river for June and July, that's for sure.

    Todd,
Anything doing on your recent ventures to the NU? I drew a blank this past weekend, well except for two halfhearted grabs from fish that wouldn't come back. Same thing the weekend before. River seemed empty of fish as I didn't see any, even in camp water. Maybe they moved up into the tribs after that rain and more fish need to come up to replace them. I think I'm going to wait a while before I return.
