Where can we buy the Japanese spey casting book
in the USA? Also is this gentleman making spey rods to sell?

If you type Nobuo Nodera into yahoo you will find much info including some on spey rods. Apparently this gentleman is also something of a "jedi master" in the design of carp rods.

I am in contact with the publisher about the book and will ask about its availability. I am negotiating permission to publish a few of the illustrations on the Spey Pages.

I don't know if Nobuo's rods are available over here--I'll ask him. Mine arrived last week and they are light and powerful with a classic Spey feel and action. I've been casting a lot of faster action rods the past few years and it is great fun to swing a traditional rod again. I'll be doing a complete review of them on the Spey Pages later this summer.
