Looking at the Hardy Viscount Disc Large Arbor 10/11 reel to mount on a 10wt 15' spey rod. Will this reel have enough capacity to handle a 10wt spey line? This reel was recommended to me by the Hardy chap from across the pond at the spey clave last weekend, but I didn't ask him about line capacity. The catalog states WF10+150yd of 30# backing, but I assume that this is standard flyline, and not 120yd spey line.

I own a couple of the Viscount's in the 10/11 although both mine are clicks.
They are great reels for the dollar and will have no problem handling a #10 Spey line in the shorter heads such as the Windcutter and Mid-Speys. With a 9/10/11 WC, I can get almost 150 yds of 30 pound backing.
The one thing to look out for is corrosion...they are produced from lightweight aluminum alloy and seem to lightly corrode in a couple small spots...nothing that a shot of Corrosion X would not prevent.
