I have a Trace my Heritage back to the Belle Clan of Highland Scotts but I have never found a Crest for that clan. I realy enjoy touring blood lines (my wife is Sue indian) I like to know what blood flows through my veins, With that said, My surname is Bailey, which got spelled that when my ancesters moved to england, but I am told that Their grand parents spelled their names Belle which is a clan that was part of the highland scotts. Would any of you know that to be true, if not would any of you know anyone that could help me find out .......Thanks Nate

For all you guys that are interested, my wife, Paula, has researched her family in depth, and suggests the following websites:

www.familysearch.org (the Mormon website)
www.genforum.com (you can post queries)
www.ancestry.com (they have census images online)

(1) Scott is a guy's name
(2) A native of Scotland is a Scotsman or a Scot
(3) Scotch is the stuff you drink
(4) Souix Chief Siiting Bull is probably rolling over in his grave

I think I got that right. How about it Malcolm?

through these sites when your up for the salmon next week.

Put in "Evans" and Canada and repeatedly came up a blank. Don't think the original family 'slipped' off the boat under the cover of darkness. Maybe, just maybe, ..... na, don't want to go there.

Your right JD.
My wife already clued me in:tsk_tsk: I grew up on the old reservation lands of the Klamaths, If I made a blunder with the details around there I was risking life and limb. Dont ask a Klamath if he/she was a modoc or vise-verse, been there ran from that:hehe:

When are you going to get up here to catch some fish?????
