Tiemco 7999. Decent gap to shank length ratio with enough iron to keep my flies from turning sideways.

What's yours?:)

one hook is to hard to choose :rolleyes: , depending what fly I'm tying or colour, TMC 7999, TMC 7931C, Daiichi 2050 and Daiichi 2051, those are my favorite, I will not choose only one. :hehe:

For low water style flies, I like the Daiichi 2161 in size 1 and 2. Tubes require an entirely different style of hook. You can find a thread on this site looking at this option. I am using Tiemco 105 in size 4 till I find something better.

I've been using a X-510 Daiichi #4 lately...heavier wire but still a cutting point, hard to straighten even stout tippets...

Works good for Ward's Indruders and Waddington shanks as well.
