steelhead fishing on queen charlotte islands

has anyone done a spring or fall trip to the queen charlotte islands for big steelies??if so,i would like to hear about it.thanks.

I've never been there but I do know that the late, great Day Karr caught a 29 lb. winter fish from the Yakoon (sp?) many years ago.

i remember that. i was supossed to meet him and go on a trip up there. we missed connection in north seattle. turned out to be a big snow strom up there and he could not get around to fish much.
