I recently made some big progress with my casting. I was overlooking this one step of the cast which was throwing it all to hell

Here it is explained and demonstrated, thought perhaps some here might find this very important but highly underrated form/step, useful in pursuing a fluid well executed cast

Sweet. Thanks for posting the link. I didn't know Mr. Gillespie had these new videos up.

I might give him a shout this January when I'm back in Ireland.

I think it's really cool that you're a fan of Robert Gillespie, as I am,
and also think it's cool that you are humble enough to post that your casting isn't perfect, that you're hungry to improve.
good signs, we're on the same page bro.
two thumbs up.

SS,

Those are generous and kind remarks. Thanks for taking the time, it is very much appreciated. I tell ya buddy, you know how it can go . . . just when I think I know what I am doing something absurd happens hah. It is always consoling to know others are experiencing growing pains too as we evolve our technique and fishing style. I'm betting Gillespie would be good company on the river and off. His style is so fluid he makes it look natural

All the best to you and yours Bob
