That looks nice. Did you ever add weight to the head too? Kind of interesting how he adds the chenille before the fox (or whatever that was). Nice looking tie though.

Great fly and great videos too!
My best fly this fall was quite similar, only black instead of purple.
But a real killer compared with the black leeches I use to tie on!
One question: do you use a kind of 'tube extender' like a bead between the tube fly and the hook?

nice........nice L.S. tune too

do you do them with a bunny strip to? aka bunny-bou tube. just curious, i do for larger profile pattern with the thinest honker strips. works well on a tube with a brass cone to ballance.

I believe that is the Pro Tube one you get for $12 bucks, I have the same one works perfect with the Pro Tubes!

on some i added a protube drop weight right behind the chenille ball if i want it to sink more, its tied on a protube needle adapter (super cheap, i think it was 15 bucks or something)

no i just tie a perfection loop around an inch or inch and a half long then loop it onto a octopus hook, sucking the knot into the built in junction

One question: do you use a kind of 'tube extender' like a bead between the tube fly and the hook?
