What a fun video. I like your choice of fishing companion and musical accompaniment!
What camera do you use??

thanks! she is a good pup, we get out three or four times a week so she is learning her manors near the water.
i use the Gopro with an underwater housing. usually i use it for backcountry skiing, they arent too expensive for how nice they are. they do 1080i HD. my laptop is too slow to upload it that high quality though

Nice. That river looks like some fun. Where are you fishing? I have some spots close by home that are similar and I love getting out with the 3wt now and then. I need to take my dog more.

Great video, really like the small stream stuff, when I'm not swinging the two hander for steel in the spring, fall and winter...other than chasing big smallies with the two hander,in summer,I'm out on the small streams chasing rainbows, specs, and browns with my boo 3wt, what a gas, here's a still(sorry no vid):chuckle:..earlier this summer on a small creek loaded with small bows and specs.

hell yeah! nice pic. i love creek fishing for sure. this creek dumps into a large river about a mile down from where i hiked in so there are some nice sized fish spaced about.
im over in east idaho right against the wyoming border. pretty much all the tribs. out here have cutties.

Beautiful day on a beautiful stream. Your technique scares me a little though.
If I laid my rod down I'm just the guy to step on it. Have you ever done that?
Unfortunately I have. Your dog is a real character. He seems to have the feelin'
Nice clear video. I enjoyed it completely.

Thanks everyone!
i moved out to oregon so my trout season kinda ended. hopefully i can get up near bend for some. otherwise im gonna try for some steelhead i suppose.
im a total gaper on the stream man. ive learned a little better now but once i got a fish within ten feet of me on a small stream and it has any size to it, i have better luck if i just lay the rod down and follow it to the fish vs. trying to wear out the fish and chase it down with a net.
i havent broke a rod doing that, but ive seen it happen for sure
thanks again guys!

What fun! Neil Young yet! Another great Canadian. Your dog looks a bit
like his cover dog. If you could teach him to handle the net for you,
life would be near perfect.
Best,

haha that would make her the ultimate fishing dog. she already tries to get em when they are in the water.
its funny when its deep cause she'll be spinning around trying to swim after the fish, of course its terrified and im standing waist deep trying to net the frickin thing. haha it can be a real gaper show sometimes
