Another of the huge, beautiful volumes by the Wild River Press folks. I should say that I am a novice atlantic salmon fisher (about a week or so under my belt) and I am learning a ton from this book. His breakdowns of techniques is really well done.

Even more than that I am really enjoying Browne's anecdotes, asides and descriptions of fishing experiences. His story of learning to tie with Warren Duncan is worth the (considerable) price of the book. I also really, really like his constant reference and considerations on a number of historical books on salmon fishing. It is fascinating to read his ideas on how the techniques can drawn upon.

Received mine today and had a look at it, while at work. It's going to be a long read but I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy every page. I'm quite sure this has been a labor of love for Topher.

to find a late Father's Day gift from my son upon just returning from a Quebec salmon trip. Atlantic Salmon Magic looks like a very good read, and resource from my initial scanning of the book. Have read bits and pieces here and there, and find it very interesting so far. Fantastic photography also. I have met Topher, and know of his keen interest in the sport.

I received my copy a few weeks ago....and plowed through it in a night. Doubling back the next couple of days.

Photography and writing are so top notch it makes you feel like you are on the river fishing right along. I truly feel there will be many 'aha' moments over the decades when referring back to the book...'ohhhh that is what that meant'.

I know there are a lot of differences between the Atlantic Salmon and Pacific Steelhead. Yet there are many similarities which allow for a cross over of techniques. Especially when the salmon are fresh in. Modern techniques that many already do. Point being a steelheader should find this book relevant as well.

Topher has done a masterful job. You will be entertained and at the same time hopefully take away the gems. Which could quite possibly improve your odds!!!

... One of those rare books that will be read cover to cover half a dozen times, yet I know I will aways find something new to appreciate from it's content with each sitting.

Amazing photos, excellent dialog that's relaxed, humorous and informative.

A great book for generating wishful day dreams and re-kindleing fond fishing memories.

Just finished Atlantic Salmon Magic.

In a word, it is superb.

The book is not only well designed and printed, the photography is stunning.
The writing is first rate throughout, hugely informative but also peppered with occasional and unexpected humor. A most enjoyable read.

Whether an Atlantic salmon fisher or steelheader, it's a "must-have" book. The passion and insights will be familiar to your core . . . you can't wait to be on the river again. A beautifully done book.
