I've seen 'loaded rods' before but those vid's take it to a whole new level. Watching that shooting line (2nd vid) come off the water, throwing off water, as it shoots out is a classic!
Well Done Fellows, Well Done.

... I'm not even going to ask just how far out the fly landed ..... I'd never get within 80-90 foot of it .. without the use of a 'bottle rocket' of some sort for added 'umph.'

Tommy,
All I can say is............... WOW! I will echo Fred in saying that my rod has only had that king of load pressure on it when hooked into a King salmon. What length are the rods and what make?
Respectfully submitted,
Ard

very fine work by all involved. if you can't learn something from those vids you aren't watching. the older gentleman in the last vid can sure put a point on a D loop. not a bit of wasted energy in that cast. i loved watching the running lines work their way through the guides. gives me some ideas on loose line management. the third of the original vids is my fav as it shows the whole operation. thanks for sharing the vids.

Hi Skagit Tommy!
Cool videos. I too like the North Fork with longer belly lines - the GPS 7/8 is the one. Did you use your Skagit Tommy skills with the Skagit set-up this year? I am eager to hear how/if it went.

Hi Big Guy...
I've tried a skagit set up this year... No problem fishing with skagit set up, and BIG flies, cool way of fishing... After using scandi style from the start, it was easier for me to adapted the skagit style...
Longbelly/midbelly tecnique are more difficult, but I love casting and fishing with Long/midbelly lines.
The lines I use for the most, are scandi heads about 50 feet with the possibillity to change front with tips... I use float,Int and sink body with float /int/s3/s6/s8 fronts... Biggest fish last year 15kg and biggest this year 13,6kg..
My hope is that you and your family are doing great, my friend...
Take care

One more thing... Thanks to you and Greg(The big head with sigar)for showing me how to do skagit casting, nice to get help from the experts...
Tommy
Glad to hear it Tommy, but I am sure Greg will agree that "teaching" you was a pretty easy deal... you picked it kind of fast.

Those are really nice videos, I'd be happy with even 60fps video of my casts for training purposes (now I have PAL standard fps I think), but that 300fps looks just fabulous!
