A group of us hit an Ontario trib yesterday for some chinook action on the switch rods. Hit a fresh run coming up from the lake. Landed three myself and my father landed two all on egg sucking tube flies. I was using an 8/9 Beulah Switch and my father was using a 7wt TFO Deer Creek Switch. The lower river was full of salmon by the time we left in the afternoon. Below are some pics.

Did you use sink tip?

Yes. 10ft Rio Spey Versi-Leaders in various sink rates depending on water depth.
