Any one out there tying on protube tubes?
What kind of cones fit on those tubes.
I know protube makes cones and things that fit on their tubes but the cones are light and very expensive.
Has anyone found cones that work with protubes.
flexitube and nano tube I think are the same diameter
Thanks in advance.

HMH brass cones (id 3/32") fit onto this system, but the prices are around the same as the protube cones etc. The fact that HMH give the id measurement in fractions of an inch (rather than mm, which almost everyone else uses) just further illustrates that the industry, in general, doesn't want the user to have easily interchangeable systems, and therefore encourage users, once committed to a single system, to stick with that system.

Protube flexitubes (the stepped ones) have an od of 2.20 mm for the narrower section, and od 3.05 mm for the wider section of the tube.

The most commonly available coneheads (not brand specific) are manufactured to fit onto 1.8 mm od tubes.

The easy solution (for most brass, copper & aluminium coneheads [not so easy with tungsten & steel]) is to ream out the drilled hole in these id 1.8 mm coneheads with a needle file so that they will fit onto the protube flexitubes ;)

Does anyone have the info about the outer diameters of the protube microtubes and the nanotubes, as these are not stated on the protube (profisher) webpages?

The medium and large "pocket eye cones" fit pro tubes ("Sculpzilla" cones), as do the HMH cones.

I personally really like the shapes and colors available in the Pro Cones, and have been shelling out the $$ for them. Also like the pre-formed step-down Pro tubes...makes rigging simple...not cheap, but a really nice platform to tie on.
