About three too many phases for me. There's something to be said for the simplicity of a single spey.

I thought it was designed for drying the fly but looks like fly sometimes hits the water during beginning of the phase 4. Anyway produces slack to the line which is often useful when fishing down stream.

Simplicity and complexity at the same time for a single spey.

I like the KISS method. If I get too many movements involved during a cast I will get easily distracted by a squirrel or other animal near the river.
