just wondering if anyone uses it . And how it performs. Just looking for an easier way to get down without having to cut my leader and tie on some weight. Thanks

works pretty well in terms of weight. Has a tendency of coming off time to time. Best is to place it on top of knots so that it doesn't slide down. Versatile since you don't need a bunch of split shot sizes...you just make your own.
plus it's non-toxic

I've used the stuff for years and like it. I only use it on a single hander while nymphing for trout in pretty shallow water where I don't have to use much weight. It's easy to add and subtract putty to get just the right amount of weight, it's infinitely reusable, and it hangs up a lot less than lead. It should, however, be molded over a knot or it will slide down your leader. On the minus side it's hard to pinch some off when it's cold, it sticks to your fingers when it's hot, and it doesn't sink all that quickly so you have to use a fair amount.
I would hesitate to use it on a two hander. I don't think the putty would hold up well under the forces that casting a two hander creates. I may be wrong, however.

Thanks for the info guys. Just thought I saw some hanging from Scott Howells waders in skagit master 2. That's what gave me the idea to use it. But he never talks about it. Just talks about using worm weights. Just wanted to add a little something if the led eyes just aren't getting me down enough.
