Try "Zap A Gap A Goo" It is like "Shoe Gue". Great for felts and other shoe repairs. Good for gluing legs and claws to your crab bodies if you tie your own.
Good Luck
p.s. Barge will work as long as your "muck" boots are a rubber based material... if they are some of the newer boots and are plastic, it may not work...
I had no clue, but my fishing/canoeing partner brother in law is an industrial designer- here's his response to the question Whitney-
"I have never had much success gluing nylon to neoprene. They have two very different chemical make-ups. What I might suggest…For a few bucks you could get a shoe repair guy to sew the two together and then seal with a heat sealing tape. http://www.bemisworldwide.com/products/tape.html I think that would give you the best results. Otherwise, every time you take them off, put them on or rub up against a rock they’re going to want to come apart. Your mileage may vary."
I'm think'n Elmer's wood glue, not sure how it would work in the water though...
Elephant semen would be another option... Really, it's used in certain glues
Is there an update that can provided regarding what was used to glue the boots to the waders and how successful the project was . I too am in the process of attempting this same thing and was wondering if there is any additional advice that can be given. Thanks.
Put the glue down and step away from the waders....:saevilw:
